Drawing Lessons - My first Dog Portrait




Bristol Smooth; Pencils: HB, 2B, 4B; Small Tortillion.

I love animals, and I hope that this is the first drawing of many pet/animal portraits to follow. As a child I had the dream to work with animals one day, as a profession. It didn't pan out that way for me, but now I can draw them.
The next stage of this drawing is where more fur is added.

Thanks Paulette! The picture you are referring to is an infrared shot, which I took about 15 years ago while still in Photography school. Infrared Photography is one of my Passions. I am glad you like it!
