American Hero Portrait - Work In Progress

Update 6
The shirt is now almost half way finished, and after it is done I'll touch up the face a bit more (especially the forehead), and the background. So I am on the home stretch here and should have this completed by the end of the week if everything goes as planned.  ;-)

Beautifully drawn Christine .. brings a lump to my throat and I don't know him.

This will certainly be very much treasured.

Amazing work Christine. Brilliant detail on the cams.
I see shades of Darrel Tank in your work. :)

Stunning job. I can't wait to see it finished. Have you kept a record of the hours work? must be many.

Wow, Christine! That shirt must have made for some very tired eyes! You are so conscientious in your art and this is just beautiful!

Thank you dear friends! I always appreciate your comments.

Dors, I am a faithful student of his, and have seen growth in my work since applying his teaching. I rather though you would see "shades of Christine" in my work. ;-) ;-) ;-)

I am sorry, I forgot to answer the question...at some point I lost track of how many hours, which is fine. All I know it has been many. ;-)

WOW Christine seems like you are dressing Dustin right before our Eyes. He Loved being Airborne jumping out of planes was one of his greatest things to do. Sorry to say Maine has lost another Hero he to was stationed out of Ft. Wrainwright Alaska as was Dustin. Just got back from the services stoud the Flag Line with the PGR what a group. There Moto Stand For Those That Stood For Us. Again you take your time and do what ever it takes. Again as always God Bless

Dear Jimmy, I am so glad you are following along!

It's such a sad occasion every time one precious Hero is taken from the people who love them. My heart goes out to the family of the latest casualty! May they find peace in their hearts.

It won't be long now and you'll receive this portrait. It gives me joy to do this for you! God Bless you Jimmy!

Always beautiful work.

ps I am also a student of Darrels... a beginner as I have recently subscribed. ;)
