Here is the finished portrait. I want to thank the Harris and Troutt family for allowing me the honor of drawing Dustin's image!

I want to thank you all for your very kind comments!
It was an amazing experience to draw Dustin's image, because each day of drawing him and bringing out his likeness from a 2-D surface, I almost felt like I know him. It's strange to explain. It was also hard to stop drawing on it and send it off.
My hope is that the portrait will bring a little blessing to the family. :)

Your portrait of Dustin came out beautifully! I'm sure the family is very pleased. Isn't it wonderful when you have that moment of "recognition" when you feel you know the subject you're painting? It happens to me with some of the pets I paint even if I've never met them before. Nothing Twilight Zonish, just a moment of peaceful friendship.

Lady you bring tears to my eyes seeing this Beautifull Imiage of Dustin. I Know now that day i was looking over the the PGR web site and sent you a email that Dustin was giving me another sign. Thank You are not the right words how i feel. WE in Maine last weekend had what they call the Maine Run For The Fallen for all our Fallen Hero's in maine sence 9-11. Great turn out and a chance to meet the other Families for a day does ease the pain. They have a web page I'll send you the pictures i took. Again God Bless you and your family you have Done a Amazling Job. I Know that Dustin was watching over you.
